  • How do I attend 18+ events?

    To attend 18+ events:

    1. Bring a valid government-issue photo ID proving you are 18 or older.,
    2. Visit our Registration Booth and receive your 18+ Wristband,
    3. You MUST be wearing this wristband to enter any and all 18+ Programming,
    4. Wristbands are valid for the entire weekend.,

    Acceptable forms of ID include valid, non expired, driver's liscenses, passports, and military IDs. Non-government issued IDs are NOT ACCEPTED. No exceptions will be made for anyone without proper ID.

  • What types of badges are available and how much do they cost?

  • What is the address for the hotel?

    MiraiCon takes place at the Fort Lauderdale Marriott Coral Springs Hotel & Convention Center, located at 11775 Heron Bay Blvd, Coral Springs, FL 33076

  • Is there a Hotel Block for MiraiCon?

  • Is there free parking?

    Yes, the venue at MiraiCon has FREE DAY PARKING, and overnight parking is $6 a night.

  • Are service animals allowed?

    The Ft. Lauderdale Marriott Coral Springs Welcomes Pets

    Guest is responsible for any damage cause.

    CONVENTION FLOOR RULES

    Attendees who will be joining us with their TRAINED SERVICE ANIMAL companion are more than welcomed! Emotional Support Animals are not covered under the ADA and will not be allowed within the venue. Any animal seen to be causing a disturbance to the event will be asked to be removed from the venue.

  • I have ADA needs, where do I go?

    MiraiCon offers the following accessibility services:

    ADA Compliant venue with ramps and elevators,
    Service animal accommodations,
    Accessible parking spots near entrances,
    Accessible restrooms throughout the venue,
    Accessibility stickers for badges to identify needs to staff,
    Priority seating in panel rooms for those with mobility needs,
    Accessible hotel rooms.

    If you are an attendee with disabilities, MiraiCon wants to make your time at our event as fun as possible! Be sure to stop by our Registration/Information booth for assistance and information on our accommodations!

Cosplay FAQ

  • What are the rules for cosplay at MiraiCon?

    All costumes are subject to review by staff who may request modifications if costumes are suspected to be outside the guidelines set by the convention.

    Nudity is NOT allowed at MiraiCon or the hotel.
    All attendees regardless of gender are required to have opaque material providing complete coverage of nipples, genitals, and buttocks.
    Bodysuits that simulate nudity are NOT allowed.
    Clothing and Costumes must NOT contain any offensive, derogatory, racist, or obscene language or imagery.
    Footwear must include a solid sole that entirely covers the bottom of the foot.
    All costumes must be able to fit through a standard 7' doorway with the exception of pre-approved, large scale costumes for our contests.
    Any item of clothing or costume deemed inappropriate by a member of Law Enforcement or staff is not permitted on the show floor.

  • Can I wear makeup/body paint/face coverings?

    YES! Our guidelines are as followed:

    Body paint must be sealed, dry, and non-transferable,
    You are responsible for any damage caused by makeup/paint,
    Full face makeup should not obstruct vision.

  • My costume has large pieces, is that ok?

    Wings and Large Pieces must be securely attached,
    Consider making them detachable for crowded areas,
    Be aware of your additional width in doorways and crowds,
    You must be able to safely navigate through the convention,
    Staff may ask you to remove of temporarily store oversized pieces in crowded areas or during peak hours.
    Have a plan for storing large pieces if needed.
    We recommend bringing a friend/assistant to help navigate the crowds!

  • How do I sign up for the cosplay contests?

Security FAQ

  • Can we bring wagons?

    No. Wagons are NOT allowed on the show floor due to accessibility reasons. Our hallways must be able to accommodate ALL guests without obstruction.

  • What is your Props policy?

    ALL false guns MUST have a visible ORANGE TIP at the end of the barrel.
    All prop weapons must have a dull tip. All sharp objects will be confiscated.
    All props of any size MUST have a prop check band attached to it.

  • What items are prohibited at the convention?

    NO…
    Real weapons or projectiles of any kind,
    Drones or remote-controlled flying devices,
    Smoking/vaping materials (except in designated outdoor areas),
    Non-mobility vehicles (skateboards, hoverboards, etc.),
    Signs requesting or offering physical contact (“free hugs” signs),
    Noise-making devices (air horns, vuvuzelas, etc.),
    Outside alcohol,
    Animals (except service animals as defined by ADA),
    Laser pointers,
    Items deemed dangerous by staff/security personnel,
    Any and all prohibited items must be returned to your vehicle or hotel room. Items that are illegal will be reported to law enforcement.

  • What is your harassment policy?

    Definition of Harassment:
    Offensive verbal comments or gestures related to race, gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, or religion,
    Deliberate intimidation, stalking, or following,
    Harassing photography or recording,
    Inappropriate physical contact without consent,
    Unwelcome sexual attention or advances,
    Sustained disruption of panels, signings, or other events,
    Physical assault and/or battery,

    Reporting Harassment: If you feel harassed or witness harassment, report it immediately to:

    Any member of our security team (identifiable by security vests),
    Convention staff at the information booth,
    Venue security.

    Reports will be handled with appropriate discretion. We may involve local law enforcement when appropriate.

    Response Procedures: Convention staff will assist the person experiencing harassment We may take any action we deem appropriate, including warning or expelling the offender Security or law enforcement may be involved depending on severity We are committed to providing a supportive environment for anyone who experiences harassment.

  • What should I do if I experience or witness harassment?

    If you feel harassed or witness harassment, report it immediately to:

    Any member of our security team,
    Convention staff at the information booth,
    Venue security,
    Convention staff at our registration booth.

  • What should I do in case of an emergency?

    Alert the nearest staff member or security personnel immediately,
    Follow all instructions from staff, security or emergency responders,
    Know the locations of emergency exits,
    In case of evacuation, remain calm and proceed to the nearest exit.

  • Are there medical services available?

    Yes! There will be a first aid station located right next to registration.

  • What is your photography policy?

    Always ask for permission before photographing individuals,
    Respect anyone who declines to be photographed,
    Do not block traffic, exits, or walkways while taking photos,
    Photography may be prohibited in certain areas (signage will indicate this),
    Flash photography may be restricted in certain programming,
    Photography of panels/performances may be limited based on guest requests,
    “Cosplay is not consent” – permission for photos is needed even if someone is in costume.
