Guest: Neal Illustrator

From WEBTOON panels to full-blown animatics, Neal Illustrator is an independent 2D animator, board artist, and comic creator with a serious talent for building worlds, characters, and stories from the ground up. Neal is the creator of the WEBTOON Canvas series Covenant 13 and Famtheon, two projects that show very different sides of that storytelling style. 

Covenant 13 dives into dark fantasy, following rogue Conan Marwood as one stolen amulet pulls him into an ancient conflict between gods, while Famtheon takes Greek mythology in a much more chaotic direction, following a very grown-up and very dysfunctional divine family trying to survive each other. Together, the series have built a huge readership on WEBTOON, with Famtheon reaching more than 4.6 million views and 90,000 subscribers, while Covenant 13 has passed 1 million views and 41,000 subscribers. 

And Neal isn’t keeping those worlds on the page. Recent projects have included animated shorts and animatics, fully voiced Famtheon content, and development of a complete Famtheon pilot, expanding the series into a much bigger collaborative production with voice actors and other artists.
